Frequently Asked Questions

If you have questions about what it’s like to work with me as your mental health provider, you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions below.

General Information

  • If you’re interested in working with me as your psychiatrist, please start by completing a consultation request form. I’ll reach out within 48 business hours to schedule a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation, where we will discuss your needs and determine if we’re compatible.

If we decide to move forward, the next step is a 90-minute intake appointment. During this session, I’ll conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your medical and psychiatric history. We’ll also discuss your goals for treatment and work together to create a personalized plan tailored to your needs.

  • I specialize in supporting adults ages 18-60 with mood, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. My particular expertise is in obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), panic disorder, major depressive disorder, binge eating disorder, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Other conditions I help to support include:

    • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

    • Depression

    • Insomnia

  • As a psychiatrist, my specialty and training are in medication management, however, not every client requires medication. There is no one-size-fits-all, so we will work together to find a treatment option that’s right for your needs.

If you’re already working with a therapist, I’m happy to collaborate with them to ensure you receive comprehensive and well-integrated care.

  • I offer both in-person and virtual appointments for residents of Pennsylvania. If you reside in New Jersey or Delaware, you’re welcome to schedule in-person sessions at my office.

For initial intake appointments, I strongly recommend scheduling an in person appointment.

  • Following the initial evaluation, we will create a tailored plan to meet your individual needs.

    • Initial evaluation: 90 minutes (I strongly suggest this is in-person)

    • Medication management: 25 minutes

    • Family meetings: 45 minutes minimum

  • If you are unable to keep an appointment, please provide 24 hours advanced notice.

Appointments without adequate notice are subject to:

    • First cancellation with less than 24 hours notice will be given a courtesy fee waiver.

    • Second cancellation with less than 24 hours notice will be automatically billed for a portion of the visit cost.

    • Third cancellation with less than 24 hours notice will be automatically billed for the full amount of the appointment.

  • My office is located in Society Hill, Philadelphia:
